Quick and Easy Knitted Christmas Gifts

Do you need some quick and easy ideas for Christmas gifts?  Maybe you want to knit a little something for that special person to show them how much you care.  Here are a few ideas for you.

  1. Washcloths – these would be perfect knit up in a soft cotton and wrapped around a handmade bar of soap.  Just add a bow and you are good to go.

  • Bookmarks – these would make the perfect little gift for your favorite bookworm or for the gals in your book club.  Tuck one into their favorite book for an extra special treat.

  • Water bottle holders – I made one of these for my personal trainer as a thank you gift and she thought it was better than pumpkin pie!  Well, maybe that isn’t true but she did love it and said it was perfect for her short hikes.

  • Hats – everyone needs a new hat to go with their winter coat.  This pattern uses bulky yarn so it knits up fast and looks great on both kids and adults.

  • Fingerless mitts – these knit up quickly and can usually be done with some yarn you have laying around your house.  Mitts are great for all ages and are perfect for those days when it is chilly outside.

  • Felted slippers – these are my all time favorite gift to make.  This particular pattern might be better suited for the intermediate knitter, but with big needles and yarn held together they will knit up in no time.  Don’t forget to give yourself time to felt them and for them to dry.

  • Sock monkeys – these adorable little monkeys will make the perfect gift for all the young children on your list.  They won’t be able to resist cuddling with this cutie.
